Our Team

The core Contact Point team is shown below (updated photos coming soon!). We also work very closely with a number of other professionals not shown here, who provide specific skills for particular projects.

Heather Maloney
MTech (IT), GDip C.Sc
Managing Director

Heather completed a Masters of Technology (Information Technology) in 2000 at R.M.I.T. (Melbourne) and has been applying her skills within the information technology profession for over 17 years.

Over that time, Heather has been involved in a large number of technology projects implemented into multi-national organisations, medium-sized enterprises, and micro businesses alike, spanning a wide range of industries and applications including banking and finance, law, real estate, retail, FMCG, automotive, manufacturing, and mining.

Heather brings to Contact Point clients well honed skills in project management, IT solutions delivery, web technologies and a strong desire to assist businesses to improve by making operations easier, and delivering value to customers.

Chris Barwick
B.App.Comp, Dip.App.Sci(Av)
Senior Programmer

Chris completed a Bachelor of Applied Computing at University of Tasmania in 1992, and also completed a Diploma of Applied Science (Aviation) the same year.

Since then, he has worked on numerous large scale applications in Progress, C, C++, C#, Delphi, Perl, ForTran, and COBOL. More recently, Chris has been working predominantly in MySQL and PHP, the language of choice for rapid development of agile web based applications. Chris joined Contact Point after working for 12 years as a programmer for Mincom, predominantly in C#.Net.  Chris also has significant experience in technologies such as Motif, .Net, WPF and WinForms.

Chris brings to Contact Point projects a brilliant mind, well developed programming and solutions architecture skills, and a friendly and pragmatic approach to business solutions.

Sanaz (Sunny) Sabet
B.C.Sc, MTech (Bus) 
Website Delivery, SEO & eNudge Support Analyst

Sanaz completed her Master of Business Information Technology at RMIT in 2008, and a Bachelor of Computer Science at Azad University Iran in 2005.

Sanaz has several years of experience in customer service, IT help desk support, and web programming and is keen to help Contact Point clients get the most out of their web presence and eNudge.  Sunny takes search engine optimisation of our client's sites to the next level, with nearly two years experience in tuning sites, and keeping a careful eye on trends and evolving technologies.

Nathania (Nia) Maryauw
B.IT, MComp 
Web Programmer

Nathania graduated from RMIT University with a Masters of Computing in 2010.

Nathania has specialised in web systems throughout her tertiary education and comes to Contact Point with 2 years experiences in developing web applications using HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL.  She is also well versed in browser compatibility issues and other technologies including .NET, WPF, and J2SE. 

Nia is our resident expert in customising Facebook Business pages, creating WordPress templates to match your website look and feel, and implementing all manner of WordPress plug-ins and customisations.

John Murphy    
M.HCI & Erg, GDip C.Sc, B.Mech Eng
User Experience Consultant 

John completed a Masters degree in Human Computer Interaction and Ergonomics from University College London in 1997 including a thesis researched at Microsoft Research Labs in Seattle.  He also holds a Graduate Diploma of Computer Science from Curtin University of Western Australia and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Western Australia.

He is a specialist in researching and designing the User Experience for applications and services on the internet.  He uses his combined background in human computer interaction, computer science and engineering to study and profile target users, structure content, design user interaction and interfaces and conduct usability tests. John has worked across many different mediums including desk, mobile and multi-channel applications.  Recent industry sectors in over 20 years of experience include Banking Government, Education, Engineering, Travel, & Telecommunications.

Paul Compton    
B.App.Comp
Web Application Platform Architect

Since graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Computing from the University of Tasmania in 1993, Paul has spent many years working in Information Technology.

Paul's specialist areas are network administration, the development of networked and internet-enabled database applications, iPhone and iPad applications.  He has served as a consultant database developer for companies in Australia, Germany, England and the United States, working on products in daily use around the world, and once a month, he drives and reprograms the world's most advanced forklift trucks.

Paul brings to Contact Point projects up-to-date expertise in web technologies and server platforms, a strong focus on quality and security of all solutions, a passion for open source technologies, and a healthy dose of pragmatism.  

Tess McCabe
Graphic Designer

With almost a decade of experience in graphic design for both print and web, Tess is a great asset to the Contact Point team ensuring that our client's solutions not only function well but also communicate and connect appropriately to the target audience.

Tess holds a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, and is a professional member of the Australian Graphic Design Association.

Tess' passion is helping individuals and organisations take the next step to strategically improve their online communications tools.

When not in front of a computer, Tess enjoys sewing, reading, and indulging in the many fantastic cafes and restaurants Melbourne has to offer.

Neil Walters 
Graphic Designer

Neil's career in design began in 2001 working in brand development, and creative designs for logos, brochures, annual reports, banners, signage and websites in Ballarat.  Neil completed his Diploma of Design from the University of Ballarat in 2001.

Since then, Neil has undertaken a wide range of projects from book design through to packaging design and map design.  His roles have included Art Director, Designer, and Print Manager.

Neil has a wife and 2 young children, and enjoys photography and cycling while not undertaking creative projects.

Julie Jackson 
Assoc. Dip. Business Studies/Marketing
Marketing/Branding Specialist

With a diverse background in marketing and brand strategy, Julie brings a wealth of experience to the table.  She has developed and managed campaigns in digital media, TVC, radio, events, and video production for both small and large businesses, in a number of industries including property, food, hardware, health and retail.

Julie specialises in target market profiling, planning, concept and brand development, tactical and promotional activities, advertising and events.  She is results focused and always committed to delivering stimulating campaigns.

Allison Brown
Copy Writer & Sub-Editor

Allison has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a Law Major from the University of South Australia, and over 20 years experience in media and communications.

After eight years as a media officer to a former Prime Minister and various Federal Ministers, Allison diversified her skills to create communications opportunities for various organisations, including Make-A-Wish Foundation, Very Special Kids and Mercy Health & Aged Care.

Allison's forte is copywriting, taking the essence of your brand and creating lively copy that engages and inspires its audience to act, and then ensuring that each communication piece gains the most traction in the marketplace - whether that is via social media or more traditional media.

David Hampton
Flash Designer and Programmer

David has 5 years agency experience in the UK and graduated from the Kent Institute of Art and Design in England in 2003. David has worked for clients including Fujitsu, Kuoni Travel and Froosh Smoothies.

David began his career as a junior in print design but his passion and expertise now lies in designing and programming for the web, and flash animation.

David brings great flair and creativity to the implementation of flash components for Contact Point clients.

Heidi Wernicke 
Photographer

Heidi has worked with many of our clients to provide fabulous photographic results.

Heidi brings seven years full time professional photography experience to the team. After spending many years in the corporate world, which is still reflected in her drive and professionalism, she built her photographic career freelancing for a number of Melbourne studios before setting up her own photographic studio. Heidi particularly loves photographing people, but also enjoys product, event and other types of commercial photography. She is an accredited member of the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography).
