The Challenge
Genre – fashion handbags: www.genre.com.au
Genre had a range of designer handbags presented from their website, however results being generated from the site were minimal. This was in part due to the site having no ordering facility, and it was somewhat difficult to navigate through the site which also lacked visual appeal.
The Solution
Contact Point firstly implemented a very simple online order from within the existing site as an interim measure, and source and arranged an advertisement in a very popular fashion enewsletter. Genre embraced the Contact Point eNudge Email and SMS Marketing solution, and experienced hundreds of people joining their mailing list within just days of a special online promotion including a competition to win a handbag for those who subscribed to email news from the site. The subscribers are collected via an online form and automatically added to Genre's eNudge database, allowing Genre to efficiently and easily follow up with targeted promotional emails to the opted-in subscribers. Online orders also resulted from the online promotion, and Genre is very happy with the results.
Contact Point were then engaged to replace the Genre website with a full shopping cart version of the website which more effectively promoted the range of designer handbags and allowed visitors to purchase much more easily. The site also includes a leading edge solution to allow for visitors to setup their own online handbag party, along with online gift vouchers, and foreign currency conversion.

Rapini wished to perform much better in the search engines - the site barely had any rank in Google except via an industry site that listed them along with their competitors.
Contact Point optimised the site for the search engine for key terms related to their products and services. The rank in the major search engines for the chosen key phrases improved dramatically with links appearing on page 1 and 2 of Google within 3 months of commencing the program. Rapini now receive a steady stream of enquiries from their website on a weekly basis.
