Payment Processing - a Case Study

The Challenge

To provide a start up internet business, with limited funds, the ability to operate online payment processing, with minimum fuss and fees.

The Solution

Using PayPal instead of the more traditional approach of hooking up to a bank payment gateway, meant that the solution:

• Was very quick to implement, and therefore cost effective
• Is free of setup costs and monthly fees (compared to the usual application fees x 2 and monthly fees x 2)
• Has modest fees per transaction
• Does not require a merchant account
• Is broadly used by the internet community, and very easy for the customer
• Is very simple to administer from the vendor's point of view
